To protect your walls against moisture or cooking debris, you need a good splashback. Tiles are one of the best materials to use but for something little bit special, the modern mosaic tiles that are available are exactly what you need.

What is a Splashback?

A splashback can be defined as a material that is placed on the wall in order to protect it against moisture, splashes of food, grease, oils, steam or other debris. They are mostly found in kitchens but are also very useful in bathrooms, laundries or any other wet areas.  As well as protecting the walls, splashbacks can be an important design element, as they add that extra flair to a room.

Bathroom is one of the most regularly used rooms in any home or office. It is usually also the one with the least amount of space. But even with limited space, we can maximize that small area.

Keep colour scheme simple

Too many colours and patterns will make your bathroom design look small and confusing. Use white or cream wall tiles to simplify the look. Light colour wall tiles open up the space and make the room feels more spacious as your eyes are not restricted to focus.

Keep It in Harmony

While life should be as colourful as rainbow, it is best to stick with neutral colours for majority of your floor and wall coverings.

The idea is, you will be living with this colour, so the colours need to be less confronting and more accomodating. Stronger colours can have a closing in effect, which means your room will feel smaller.

Light can play a big part on how we view a room. It can make a room appear bigger when there are plenty of light, especially from natural sources. How much natural light is there in your room? What lights do you have? The lighting in your room, and how you play with that aspect is a big part in deciding the style and character of the room you would like to create.
